The Band |
Michel passed away suddenly in Aug., 2019. He will be missed terribly. His bio will remain posted below. In addition to the music, Michel spends a lot of time with the Humane Society looking after orphaned critters. He has several (to say the least) critters himself. Michel is also an accomplished finish carpenter |
Stevie G. is
Holes-In-The-Road's bass player. He plays 4-string,
5-string and 8-string basses. Usually one at a time.
He has been with the band since 1999. Mostly a rhythm
player, he will improvise fills when necessary and do some minor
lead bass work. In addition to playing the bass,
Stevie is also responsible for most of the engineering and album
production (along with Michel)
Stevie is also a member of the all original heavy metal rock band Strych-Nine. When playing with Holes-In-The-Road, he has to de-shred (read-play a LOT less).

Russ
joined Hole In The Road in 2019. Since then we've recognized
that he has a weird set of rules. Rule 1: The drummer is always
right. Rule 2: If the drummer is wrong, see Rule 1. Russ
represents the difference between playing at the drums and playing the
drums.
Russ likes to push the band by playing faster and using more complex drum parts. For some of the blues, he goes a little overboard. He was told we will "beat the white" out of him. This is Hole In The Road. Russ lives to play like the rest of the band, but he doesn't drink, kind of. Russ's hobbies include shooting hoops and playing Metallica covers on an acoustic guitar. Nobody really knows what type of music he likes, not even him. Who knows, he could be jamming away to Fat Joe while playing the tunes for the band.
